Pastor Chris and his wife, Kristi, are Kentucky Wildcats who became Texans in January of 2013. They have been married over 25 years, have 3 adult children, and one granddaughter, who is the sunshine of their lives.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, with a special emphasis in Computer Science, and was called into ministry shortly after. He and Kristi have served in full-time ministry for over 20 years in Kentucky, Indiana, and Texas.
Like most Kentucky boys, Pastor Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, operating heavy machinery, his truck, and rubbing in the fact that the Wildcats have 8 Championship titles. His favorite activity was during a time period when he had the privilege of being the chaplain for a local basketball team.
He has a passion for others to experience a real relationship with God, as well as for discipleship and intergenerational ministries, Bible Quizzing, and chocolate. His love for Mountain Dew is second only to his wife.
Pastor Katie's heart is to disciple others to become spirit and truth worshipers (while she is continually learning what that looks like herself!).
After teaching junior high and high school English for about 5 years, the Lord called her into full-time ministry. She has served as a worship pastor since 2011 and has been honored to be a part of the RCN staff as the worship pastor since August 2013.
When she is not worship-pastoring, she enjoys DIY project-ing, puppy walking, reading, and Netflix-ing.
Pastor Beth comes to us from the cold, north country of Michigan. She is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and is currently working on a Master's Degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary. She has been bringing the Gospel and "Making Melodies" to children for over 20 years, and has served as District Children's Director and Children's Camp Director on several districts across the Midwest.
A few of Beth's favorite things are: ice cream, directing children's camp, entertaining strangers, adventures with friends, McDonald's UNsweet tea (light on the ice), and sticky rice. Her favorite person is her new husband, Jeff Rush, the man of her dreams. Her least favorite things are: spicy foods, meatloaf, slow traffic and wearing sandals with unpainted toes. Her favorite Scripture verse comes from Jeremiah 33:3 ~"Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Pastor Beth is a gifted artist and has a unique ability to locate previous ministry assignments on her hands and feet.
Ben is a native of Washington State and comes to us by way of Northwest Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. He studied Old Testament at Southern Methodist University and teaches as an adjunct for Nazarene Theological Seminary. He also writes regularly for Nazarene Publishing House. Ben loves to talk with people about the Bible. He particularly likes finding humorous ways to refer to biblical characters and events.
He and his wife, Lynsey, have been married for almost ten years and are expecting their first child in January. They enjoy playing board games and being with friends.
Pastor Michele and her husband, Greg, are parents to a bright and energetic son, Lance. He keeps them busy with school, acting, and gymnastics. They all three enjoy watching sports and movies together.
Michele seems to always be in school. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, a Master's Degree in Business Administration, and a Master's Degree in Christian Education with an emphasis on Children's Ministry. She is currently working on classes in the Course of Study for Nazarene ministers.
She has been working in the children's department at RCN in various staff and volunteer roles since 2005. She loves working with Pastor Beth and with all of the families at RCN.
Kerrie Russell (not to be confused with the actress!) is the only native Texan on staff at RCN. She was born & raised in East Texas & moved to the Dallas area in 2001.
She is married to Jeff Russell (not the retired MLB pitcher!) and has three beautiful children… Daughter, Nikki, recently graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) & is a Child Life Specialist at the children’s hospital in Lubbock; Daughter, Bethany, is loving 1st grade and all things girly (and bugs!); Son, Campbell, is a rough & tough kindergartener, who is a super hero in his spare time.
Kerrie joined the RCN staff in November 2016. Over the years, she has volunteered in children’s ministry, was District Children’s Quiz Director for six years, and is currently a part of RCN’s Creative Arts Ministry.
Her theme for the year is “Fear Not” and this has been a wonderful year of overcoming many fears in her life, for which she gives God all the glory.
I truly feel blessed to be a baby boomer that grew up on Long Island, NY. I have been part of the Nazarene church all of my life, from the “Cradle Roll” to now!
My parents have always lived out their faith and walked with God with grace and integrity. I grew up with three siblings, all of whom I am quite proud. I was about 10 years old when I gave my life to the Lord; I have not always been faithful, but God has been. His leading and direction in my life have been so evident. There are two times I can easily recall where God miraculously intervened in my life: First, as a teenager (and the story of a lost ring), and then in 2001, when my husband fell off the roof of the house.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons. These days, our life is all about our family. The autumn is all about the grandsons and football. My husband and I also enjoy going antiquing. I like things to be in their place, which is probably why I enjoy bookkeeping.
